At the Mumbai home of actor Athiya Shetty‘s longtime lover, cricketer KL Rahul, wedding preparations have begun. On January 23, they will get married.

KL Rahul is getting married to Athiya Shetty, and wedding preparations have already started at his Mumbai home. Athiya was recently photographed with KL Rahul at the Mumbai airport while they were travelling back from Dubai, where they had spent New Year’s Eve together. On January 23, the couple will exchange vows.

During this time, a paparazzi film captured KL Rahul‘s building while it was being decorated. The building is being surrounded by hanging white lights, and some staff members were seen supervising the decorations. Fans have now started to notice the footage on social media.

The wedding of Athiya and KL Rahul will take place at Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shettyfarmhouse ,’s in Khandala over the course of three days. On January 21, a ladies’ night has been planned to begin things off. A trustworthy source previously informed us that “Athiya’s closest female friends such as actor Akanksha Ranjan will be a part of this.”

At the sangeet ceremony the following day, additional guests will attend. The sangeet of Athiya is likely to feature performances by her friends, brother, actor Ahan Shetty, and parents Suniel and Maya Shetty. It’s a very tight-knit family thing. “It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” added an insider.

They never publicly discussed each other, but in 2021, when the cricketer attended the screening of Athiya’s brother Ahan’s debut film Tadap, they made their relationship official. At the celebration, the pair posed with Athiya’s family. Suniel is close friends with KL Rahul and has been seen at some of his cricket games. He has frequently shown his admiration for the cricketer.

In the 2015 romantic action movie Hero, Athiya made her acting debut. She has only appeared in two movies since then: Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019).
