On Friday, friends and associates of the late director Pradeep Sarkar assembled at his Mumbai home. According to his wife Panchali, the filmmaker passed away at the Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra, Mumbai. He was 67. On Twitter, director Vivek Agnihotri posted a message.
The message said, “It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Pradeep has departed for his heavenly abode. Please join us at 4 pm for his funeral at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium to say goodbye to him.”To say goodbye to him, please come to his funeral at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium at 4 o’clock.
A number of people from the film industry came to honour the deceased director and console his distraught family. Parineeta, a feature film directed by the seasoned director and starring Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, served as his feature film debut.

Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji, Dia Mirza, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rhea Chakraborty, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Gajraj Rao, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Sakshi Tanwar were among the celebrities who attended the cremation at the crematorium in Mumbai.

Rani Mukerji, who collaborated with Pradeep Sarkar on the films Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Mardaani, recalled their most recent interaction when the director called to congratulate the actor on her most recent film Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway. “I’m absolutely stunned to hear about Dada’s demise. She said, “I’m very very shocked by the news of Dada’s passing away. I, in fact, spoke to him just the other day when I had gone to Amritsar, to the Golden Temple where he had called me telling me about my film so we had a long chat, he was insisting to do a facetime call but that day the network was not good so I was unable to video call with him.”
Pradeep Sarkar was well-known for helming a number of well-liked music videos and commercials before breaking into the film industry. Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Lafangey Parindey (2010), Mardaani (2014), and Helicopter Eela are a few of his other motion pictures. (2018).
