Saba Qamar says Salman Khan ‘chhichhora’: ‘Sallu bhaiya se bohot dar lagta ha’

Hindi Medium’s Saba Qamar made her Bollywood debut, and she once explained why she wouldn’t collaborate with Salman Khan. Also, she stated that Deepika Padukone prevented her from dating Ranbir Kapoor.

Do you recall the late Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actor Saba Qamar from Hindi Medium? She once discussed on stage the reasons why, even if Salman Khan agreed to collaborate with her, she wouldn’t. She also referred to him as “chhichhora” (indecent), which upset his supporters. Recently, a video clip from the programme reappeared online. Saba Qamar, who starred with Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium, laments not speaking with him during his dying days.

In an episode of the Pakistani television programme Good Morning Zindagi, Saba made an appearance. The show debuted in 2015. She was asked questions about numerous Bollywood actors during the show, including Hrithik Roshan, Emraan Hashmi, Ranbir Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Salman Khan.

In the following hypothetical instances, the presenter urged Saba to reject the following Indian actors and provide a why. Saba rejected Salman when his photo appeared on the TV, calling him “chhichhora (indecent)”. She held her ears and murmured, “Ya Allah maaf kar de, Sallu bhaiya se bohot dar lagta hai (God forgive me for this, I am afraid of Salman)”.

“Bahut chhichhore hai aap (You are very indecent)! He doesn’t follow the choreographer at all. He invents his own styles. What is this, man,” she continued, mimicking Salman’s well-known Dabangg hook stride.

Together with Salman, Saba turned down Emraan Hashmi. She cited her concern for “mouth cancer” as the reason she wouldn’t want to work with the Murder actor. Saba, who claimed to be a big fan of the actor, responded when asked about turning down a potential date with Ranbir Kapoor, “Nahi, kyuki maine suna hai tumhara Deepika Padukone ke sath chakkar tha toh… (No, I will not go out with you because I heard you were seeing Deepika Padukone).”

Although Saba‘s remarks against each actor were meant only for “fun,” she later clarified in a statement that the audience in India did not take her remarks lightly. She emphasised her admiration and passion for the Indian cinema industry, in particular for Salman Khan. She referred to him as a “huge star” and “humble.”

In 2017’s Hindi Medium, Saba made her Bollywood debut. She appeared in a movie with the late Irrfan Khan. It was a romance drama directed by Saket Chaudhary that did well at the box office.
