Salman Khan disclosed that he had once asked Juhi Chawla hand in marriage

Salman Khan has notoriously put off getting married for a long time. Nevertheless, a portion of one of his earlier interviews from the 1990s has surfaced, and in it, he confesses to having previously asked actor Juhi Chawla’s father for his daughter’s hand in marriage. But regrettably, Salman was turned down by her father, who never fully explained why. In 1995, Juhi wed businessman Jay Mehta.

An older interview of Salman has been published on Twitter with the description  “This salman khan (red heart emojis).” Salman appears in the video sporting a blue polo shirt with a design, pants, and a cap. He claims, “Juhi is very sweet. Adorable girl. I toh asked her father if he would let her get married to me.” The interviewer queries him,”You asked him? What did he say?”  Salman grimaces and replies, “No.” Salman responded, “Don’t fit the description, I guess,” when the journalist questioned why.

The actor is really soft-spoken in the video. Fans questioned the identity of the female he was referring to in comments on the video clip on Twitter. “Heartbreak moment (broken heart emoji).” a Twitter user wrote. Another person said, “..and he didn’t marry anyone thereafter. Such an obedient child.”

Only in the 1997 comedy Deewana Mastana starring Govinda and Anil Kapoor did Juhi and Salman work together. Salman had a notable cameo in the David Dhawan movie. Jhanvi, a daughter, and Arjun, a son, are the children of Juhi and her spouse Jay Mehta. The actor appeared in Rishi Kapoor’s final film role, Sharmaji Namkeen, which was available on Amazon Video in 2022. With Ayesha Jhulka, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami, and Soha Ali Khan, she also starred in the web series Hush Hush on Prime Video.

Salman last appeared in a cameo in the Pathaan movie, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. Also, he appeared in Shah Rukh’s prior movie Zero (2018). He will next be seen in the April 21, 2023 release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. In the upcoming action film Tiger 3 alongside Katrina Kaif, he will reprise his role as an Indian spy.
