Sara Ali Khan shares the new promo for Gaslight on Instagram

• Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Chitrangda Singh meet in an elevator.
• The thriller gets its premiere on March 31.
• Vikrant claims to be a part of a murder mystery thriller as well.

While the new trailer for Gaslight on Disney+ Hotstar doesn’t reveal anything about the story, it does feature the core ensemble, which includes Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, and Chitrangda Singh, meeting in an elevator. They become aware that they are all working on the same project—a murder mystery—as they get on separate floors of the elevator. Later, the lights go out, keeping everyone within. The thriller, which gets its premiere on March 31, was made by Pawan Kripalani.

On Instagram, Sara posted the newest Gaslight advertisement and stated, “Imagine if you’re stuck in an elevator? Suddenly lights out no generator (lightbulb emoji) Well this company can’t get better (hands raised in celebration emoji) #Gaslight streaming on 31st March on @disneyplushotstar #GaslightOnHotstar.” Vikrant enters the elevator first in the video, and Sara quickly follows. If Sara is avoiding the paparazzi, he inquires. No, Sara says, adding that she is there for a writing meeting.

Vikrant predicts incorrectly that Sara would portray a “glam doll” in the movie. Sara reprimands him, “No! It’s a murder mystery.”  Vikrant is then questioned about whether he is portraying a “small-town rooted hero”  in a non-“Massey” entertainment. He claims to be a part of a murder mystery thriller as well. Chitrangda finally joins them, at which point everyone realises they are all headed to the same conference. The lift is stopped, though, and the lights go out. As the teaser comes to a close, an ancient oil lamp appears in the elevator’s centre.

Saba Ali Khan, Sara‘s aunt, wrote “Looks Faaaab!!! (clapping hands and red heart emojis) Eagerly awaited! See u ..31st…”  “This is soooooo amazing and funny loving the trio already!!!” one fan wrote on Instagram. Another supporter added, “Oh how I love the promo..(clapping hands emoji).. can’t wait to watch u three together… (red hearts emojis).”

Last year, Radhika Apte and Vikrant appeared in the psychological suspense thriller Forensic on Zee5. In the Zee5 prequel Bob Biswas, Chitrangda co-starred with Abhishek Bachchan in 2021. Sara‘s most recent movie, Atrangi Re, alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush, was also available on Disney+ Hotstar (2021).

The horror-comedy Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez, was Pawan’s previous movie. He also oversaw the Phobia film, which starred Radhika Apte. Gaslight also includes Akshay Oberoi and Rahul Dev.
