Global K-Pop sensation BTS has been honored with the Presidential Commendation at the 5th Korea Good Donation Awards, held on December 8.

The ceremony, organized by the Korea Association of Charitable Organizations under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, celebrates individuals and organizations who inspire society through acts of charity, kindness, and social contribution.

In response to the award, BTS stated:
“We are deeply grateful to see the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign making a meaningful impact on society. This recognition is not only for us but stands as encouragement for everyone who embraced our message: ‘Love yourself and love the world.’ We especially dedicate this honor to ARMY, who have shared this journey with us. We will continue working to be BTS, fostering positive and meaningful change.”

BTS partnered with UNICEF Korea in 2017 to launch the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign, promoting anti-violence initiatives and mental health support for children and adolescents across 155 countries.

Through this campaign, they reached over 100 million individuals globally. With the support of fans, BTS and Big Hit Music contributed around ₩9.20 billion (approximately $6.26 million USD) to UNICEF, representing nearly 15% of its child protection fund.

Beyond their UNICEF work, BTS continues to make a lasting impact through ongoing charitable efforts and social awareness initiatives both in South Korea and worldwide.

Looking ahead, BTS is set to release new music in the coming spring and plans to announce a large-scale world tour, reuniting with fans across the globe for unforgettable performances.
