In a widely discussed incident, popular K-pop boy band BTS received an apology after a controversial joke was made during their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on March 25, 2026.

The remark, reportedly made by the show’s MC Seth Herzog and referencing North Korea, was perceived as offensive by fans prompting immediate backlash on social media.
