Last but not least, through the royal family’s official Twitter account, the Queen expressed her warm birthday wishes for her great-grandchild, who is named after her.
There were no images of Lili included in any of the family’s messages. Megan and Harry have only published one photo of their daughter since she was born, which appears on their 2021 Holiday card alongside her parents and older brother, Archie Harrison, 3.
Lili’s birthday falls on the same day as her first visit to the United Kingdom to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which honours the ceremonial monarch’s 70 years on the throne.
It will also be the first opportunity for Harry and Meghan’s daughter, who was born in California, to meet her great-grandmother.
June 2 was likely the “first occasion or the first possibility for the Queen to see her namesake,” according to royal expert Omid Scobie on Breakfast.
There has yet to be any official confirmation that they have met. Since their arrival, Lili and Archie have not been seen in public.
