Sir Elton John answers to fans after being photographed in a wheelchair, saying, ‘I’m in great shape.’

• Sir Elton John, the legendary English musician, addressed his ‘concerned fans’ regarding his health after photographs of him in a wheelchair circulated on the internet.
• In a long Instagram statement released today, June 2, the Cold Heart vocalist, 75, informed his fans that he is in ‘top health.’

The I’m Still Standing singer was spotted arriving in a wheelchair at Leipzig Airport in Germany on Sunday after performing as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

“I want to thank all of my followers for reaching out to inquire about my health after the media published a ridiculous tale about me “looking feeble” in a wheelchair,” he said.

“The real story is that I’m in great shape, enjoying my gigs, and performing and singing at my peak,” he continued.

“I give it my best every night and never want to let anyone down, especially after everyone has waited so long to see a concert again. Your reaction to each show has been incredible, and I’m loving every minute of it.”

He went on to say, “We arrived at Leipzig airport shortly before curfew, only to discover that part of the airport had been closed. It was a lengthy walk to the airport, so my staff graciously set down a wheelchair for me to rest my hip after the act. That’s all for now, people.”

“Last night was another spectacular event in Bern, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at this weekend’s sold-out show in Milan,” he said of his performance in Bern, Germany.
