Kanye West is dropped by Adidas
After Kanye West made numerous anti-Semitic remarks, Adidas formally discontinued its connection with him.
Adidas issued a statement on Tuesday stating that it “does not allow anti-Semitism and any other type of hate speech.” Ye has recently made remarks and taken acts that are undesirable, dangerous, and against the company’s principles of inclusiveness, respect, and fairness.
Early in October, Adidas declared that its relationship with Yeezy fashion designer Kanye West was “under review” when the 45-year-old wore a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt to a fashion show and then kept wearing it.
“After repeated efforts to privately resolve the situation, we have taken the decision to place the partnership under review,” Adidas shared in a statement at the time. “We will continue to co-manage the current product during this period.”
Following criticism of West’s remarks from celebrities, notably his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, the corporation made its decision. ,
West responded to the company’s move on Instagram with, “F—K ADIDAS I AM ADIDAS ADIDAS RAPED AND STOLE MY DESIGNS,” expressing his displeasure.
After making a threat to commit “death con 3” on Jews, the rapper’s relationship with Adidas and the rest of the fashion industry deteriorated. He was instantly blocked from Instagram and Twitter.
After he posted a snapshot of his text exchanges with Diddy, in which the rapper remarked, “This ain’t a game,” he later criticized “Jewish media” for silencing him online. I’m going to use you as an example to prove to the Jews who directed you to call me that they can’t intimidate or sway me.
West, who is known for his song “Flashing Lights,” insists he won’t ever be dropped by Adidas, Balenciaga, or Vogue.
He shrugged and said, “I ain’t losing no money,” to TMZ. “One of the most liberating days was the day I was removed off the Balenciaga site.”
We here, sweetie, we ain’t going nowhere, he continued.
