Molly Sims is thinking back on her health struggles from the previous year. The Las Vegas actress shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed along with a lengthy message about lessons she’s learned from her medical experience to provide an update on her battle with severe back pain.

“The year has been extremely long. A year that has sometimes left me broken and sometimes built me, “she stated in an Instagram post from October 20. I have battled severe back pain in private, out loud at times, and occasionally both to my friends and family.

Molly continued by saying that sometimes getting better requires taking it slower and getting assistance.

“Life always has a way of teaching us in the hard moments… but man this is a lesson I avoided learning for a long time,” she shared. “After a year and a half of pressing forward and struggling through, I came to the understanding that sometimes it’s not about the stamina you need to keep going, but the willingness to stop, rest, and get the help we need.”

The fashion model and beauty expert, who along with her husband Scott Stuber has three children, Brooks Alan, 10, Scarlett May, 7, and Grey Douglas, 5, had to temporarily put her career on pause.

“Some of you may have noticed that I took a major pause on my workout routines and now you know why,” Molly explained. “It has been a trying time for both my body and mental health but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!”

Thanking her medical professionals, physical therapist, and those who helped with her recovery, Molly said that getting where she is now required a lot of “tears, sacrifice, and maybe a little (a lot) of tenacity.”

“And now with my new accessory of a back…I’m back baby,” she continued.
