Due to the drugs, Selena Gomez takes for her bipolar disease, she might not be able to have children in the future. The actress, 30, stated in her December 2022 cover story for Rolling Stone that “that’s a really significant, major present thing in my life.”

“I’ll have them however I’m supposed to,” she said.

Following a psychotic episode in 2018 and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, Gomez was given a number of prescription drugs; however, all but two were withdrawn by her psychiatrist.

“I had to detox, essentially, from the medications I was on,” the “Same Old Love” singer recalled to the magazine. “I had to learn how to remember certain words. I would forget where I was when we were talking.”

Prior to the premiere of her documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me” on Friday, Gomez, who has been upfront about her mental health, also discussed how she felt “gone” before detoxing.

“There was no part of me that was there anymore,” she said.

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum’s reveal comes two months after she shared her family plans on an episode of “Giving Back Generation.”

“I hope to be married and to be a mom,” she said in August.

While celebrating her birthday over the summer, Gomez had a wedding-themed bash because she “thought” she’d have tied the knot by now.

According to the “Only Murders in the Building” star, “I grew up assuming I would be married at 25.”

She continued, “It crushed me that I was nowhere near that – couldn’t be further from it. Even though it was so foolish, I truly believed that my world had ended.

As she explained, “We had nice drinks, and it was beautiful, and then my buddy Cara [Delevingne] walks in and introduces strippers,” the party was “a mixture of classy and comical.”

The event was attended by Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Francia Raisa, Camila Cabello, and Billie Eilish.
