Kelly Rizzo recalls her last year Christmas
Kelly Rizzo recalls brighter days as she celebrates her first Christmas without her husband.
The 43-year-old creator of the video reflected on her final holiday with the Full House star in a heartfelt social media message published on December 24. Kelly urged her followers to “cherish every single moment” alongside a sequence of pictures of the couple shot in 2021 in front of the Peninsula Chicago.
“I certainly didn’t think that our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last,” she wrote on Instagram. “(it was the first year he came to Chicago to spend Christmas with my family along with my wonderful step-daughter, Lara) I’m so glad we had that special time together.”
Kelly described how they spent that Christmas “He had the opportunity to interact with my 2-year-old niece Alex and my 2-week-old niece Brooklyn. Every day Alex brings up his memory of “Uncle Bob” and talks about him.”
Bob was discovered dead in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida, on January 9, and investigators later determined that he had suffered a brain injury. At 65 years old, he was.
Kelly went on to praise her late husband for the manner in which he left “The holidays are a time for hope, love, and togetherness,” she concluded, “a lasting impact. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one this Christmas season, may you be blessed with a bounty of warm, loving memories and feelings of appreciation that will support you?”
Kelly, who wed Bob in 2018, has been transparent about her difficulties since losing her husband. In September, she told the reporters that her grief “ebbs and flows.”

“You can think you’re doing better one moment, and then all of a sudden, you have a week where it just comes crashing down on you and it surprises the hell out of you,” she noted on the red carpet for Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine: A Tribute to Bob Saget. “You’re like ‘Whoa, I thought it was doing better. Where did that come from?'”
In addition, Kelly stated at the time that she was “choosing appreciation and being glad for the time we had together versus feeling sad that our time was cut short,” similar to her tribute from December.
