T.J. Holmes files for divorce from Marilee after relationship rumors

T.J. Holmes and Marilee Fiebig are no longer together. After nearly 13 years of marriage to Fiebig, an attorney, the co-anchor of GMA3: What You Need to Know has filed for divorce, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Sabine, who is 9 years old, is the couple’s daughter; they were married in March 2010.

Just one month ago, images of Holmes and his GMA3 co-anchor Amy Robach, who is wed to actor Andrew Shue, were online. This marks the end of Holmes and Fiebig’s relationship.

The disputed images and videos, which were made public by Daily Mail on November 30, depict Holmes and Robach enjoying a romantic night out at a Manhattan bar, getting into a car together, and relaxing at a cabin in a forested location.

The coworkers have not verified the romance allegations sparked by these images, but a different source privy to the details claimed to be “very much together” on December 14.

Since allegations of a romance began to circulate, Holmes and Robach have often drawn attention.

On Dec. 1, the day after the photos leaked, Shue appears to have deleted all but one of the images of Robach from his Instagram account. Although their marital status is unknown, the couple sold their condo just one week before Robach and Holmes’ pictures were published online.

Holmes appeared to make reference to the circumstance during the Dec. 3 episode of GMA3 by joking that it had been “a great week” on air. Then, his co-anchor said, “Speak for yourself.” Holmes and Robach were suspended from the show for three days while an internal assessment was taking place.

When they were seen landing together in Atlanta on December 26, they seemed to still be going strong. Photographs show Holmes around Robach as they pushed their bags through the airport.

Fiebig has not responded to the divorce petition or the story in the media.

In a tweet commemorating her “grace and tolerance” on their 10th wedding anniversary two years ago, Holmes provided an insight into their relationship.

“10 years ago, Marilee Feibig married me,” Holmes wrote in a 2020 Facebook post. “And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years. That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the doooooooor.”

He continued, “Asking her for another 10 years would be too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky.”
