We are unable to discuss the matter since the appeal was recently submitted, or whatever they do it, I believe it was the day before yesterday, he said. “Our lawyers informed the courts that they intended to appeal this,”

So don’t believe we’re holding back from telling you something because we’re not permitted to discuss it, he continued. The problem is that we’ve been taught we can’t.

When asked the couple’s attorney for more information, they did not respond right away.

The Chrisley Knows Best actor also expressed gratitude to the fans for their support of him and Julie, 49, writing, “We value the prayers we receive every day. We receive a lot of letters, gifts, and other forms of charity as well as requests to pray for us and offers to assist us in any way they can, which is a blessing.”

Todd and Julie were found guilty in June by a federal jury of conspiring to conduct tax fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the US. Julie was also found guilty of wire fraud, despite the fact that the two have refuted all claims.

Last month, Todd received a sentence of 12 years in prison and 16 months of probation; Julie received a sentence of 7 years and 16 months of probation for her part in the crimes.

The couple’s lawyer, Alex Little of Burr & Forman LLP, said the family was “optimistic” for the future since they intended to challenge the convictions after the sentencing.

“The Chrisley family had a terrible day yesterday. However, Todd and Julie are devout Christians, and their faith gives them courage as they fight for what they believe in “hardly says. “Serious and persistent mistakes were made during their trial, including the government misleading the jury regarding the couple’s tax obligations. We have hope for the future based on these problems.”

The pair are “doing about as well as you can imagine,” a source previously told, amid the fallout from their fraud case sentencing.

The source said, “They’ve really been leaning into their faith to pull them through.” “Having said that, what happened to them was terrible; they were treated horribly in court. Because the judge repeatedly told them, “Just because you’re on TV, doesn’t mean you’re going to get away with this,” they believe they were unfairly singled out by him.”

The source said the long-married couple also thinks the federal judge “was setting an example of them” when he sentenced them on November 22.

According to records acquired, the two are scheduled to report to their respective Florida institutions on January 17. Julie will spend her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Marianna, some 2.5 hours away, while Todd will do his time at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. Additionally, in their own facilities, they will be under minimal security.
