Wendy Williams' financial advisor recruits armed security amid threads. Lori Schiller claims...
Wendy Williams is “glad to be here.” after health issue
The official eviction summons were delivered to Hunter in August, and in response, he claimed that his mother had paid the entire year’s rent in advance beginning in March 2021, “with her purpose being to acquire [the apartment] at the end of the term.” The 22-year-old claims that at her request, he signed the lease “on her behalf.”
Hunter went on to explain how his mother’s medical troubles had an impact on his capacity to make rent.
He explained that as the lease’s expiration date drew near, my mum had some health problems that gave the court jurisdiction over her financial situation. All of this happened at once, and she ceased providing me with all of her financial assistance, even for my housing.
Williams alleged in a letter to the court that Wells Fargo had “denied [her] any access, whether online or otherwise, to her financial accounts, assets, and statements” in February 2022, according to a report. Williams’ former financial advisor, Lori Schiller, advised her to take this course of action because Williams “was of unsound mind,” per her court documents.
In documents submitted to the court, the bank stated that it froze the money because it “strongly believes that [Williams] is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.” It was unclear who or what was taking advantage of or improperly influencing Williams.
According to the landlord’s lawsuit, Hunter agreed to keep paying rent on a month-to-month basis but failed to do so, resulting in $69,600 in unpaid rent.
Added him: “Due to Covid and taking care of my mother, I had to put my schooling on hold for an entire academic year. Even though my name is on the lease, my mother was the one who was making the payments. However, after the one-year contract expired, she has been unable to make rent payments due to medical and legal issues, and the court has taken control of her funds.”
Hunter claimed that during the past few months, he had travelled “back and forth between states checking on my mom’s well-being.” He claims in the final paragraph of the August 29-filed statement that he had found a new “temporary place to live” and intended to vacate the apartment within seven days.
Following Hunter’s declaration, the plaintiff asked for a “evidentiary hearing on damages,” and in mid-September, the court issued a final judgement of eviction against Hunter.
Williams, 58, checked into a wellness centre at the end of the summer in an effort to manage her “general health difficulties.”
According to a statement from her publicist Shawn Zanotti at the time, “She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a significant comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast.” “A group of some of the top medical professionals in the world are treating Ms. Williams. Please send us your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
She departed the facility in October. In a statement, Zanotti said, “We are glad to inform that Wendy Williams is home and healing after being in a wellness facility since August. Wendy is eager to release her various projects and is enthusiastic about the journey ahead.
Williams said in a statement at the time, “Thank you to my followers for their love, support, and many prayers. I’ve returned and am stronger than ever.
Williams missed hosting The Wendy Williams Show twice earlier this year due to continuing health issues. Leah Remini then filled in as a guest host. Later, other celebrities were recruited to follow suit, including Jerry Springer, Whitney Cummings, and Michael Rapaport.
Among the guest hosts, Sherri Shepherd emerged as a fan favourite, even achieving season-high ratings during her first appearance in November of last year. Later, it was revealed that the 54-year-old would replace Williams’ programme with her own namesake talk show, Sherri. After more than ten years on the air, Williams’ own show came to an end with that.
