Chris Evans shares of ups and downs in his dating life

Chris Evans has experienced his fair share of highs and lows in love, but he remains optimistic that he’ll soon meet.

Since his high-profile romance with Jessica Biel, the actor from Not Another Teen Movie’s love life has captured the attention of viewers. The ex-couple started dating in 2001 and collaborated on the movies London and Cellular throughout their relationship. The 7th Heaven alum had great aspirations for their future even though they called it quits in 2006.

“We frequently discuss [marriage]. One year before to her and Evans’ separation, Biel told Cosmopolitan, “We both want to get married and have kids. Eventually, after almost five years of dating, she wed Justin Timberlake in 2012.

After splitting from Biel, the Marvel franchise actor dated emerging actresses Minka Kelly and Dianna Agron for a short period of time. After Sandra Bullock’s 2010 divorce, there were even rumors that the two were dating. It wasn’t until he fell for Gifted co-star Jenny Slate in 2016 that he entered into another committed relationship. In February 2017, they decided to end their relationship, yet they still harbored a great deal of love for one another.

“He’s really vulnerable, and he’s really straightforward,” Slate told Vulture of her ex one month after their split. “He’s like primary colors. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he’s really sure of them. It’s just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored if you could paint it.”

The two gave their relationship a second chance, but things were finally over in March 2018. Evans hopes to start a family in the near future despite his struggles to find lasting love.

“I definitely want children. I definitely want a family. But you cannot put the cart before the horse,” he told the news after his split from Slate. “The family only works if it’s built off the extension of the love you feel for a person. If you all of a sudden want the kid more than you want the relationship, you may be on shaky ground.”

The Knives Out actor has been “seeing other people and is having fun” after his most recent breakup, an insider told the news, but he wants to “be more secretive with his love life.”
