Conor McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion, and Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal can be seen in new images from the Road House remake. Although there is no set release date for the 1989 blockbuster remake, moviegoers have been getting sneak peeks of what to anticipate since production got underway in August.

McGregor’s first acting role was in the film Road House, and he shared photos of himself on Twitter while swimming in the Dominican Republic’s azure waters, where the movie was shot. The photos show “Notorious” with his renowned gorilla chest plate tattoo on display while sporting an unbuttoned collared shirt, a gold necklace, and other casual attire. Amy Kaplan of FanSided posted images of McGregor and Gyllenhaal heading the Road House ensemble, which also features Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, and Lukas Gage. Gyllenhaal and McGregor can be seen standing next to each other in the photographs, as well as McGregor standing in a boat while Gyllenhaal is holding on to the side.

Doug Liman, known for his work on Edge of Tomorrow, Jumper, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Fair Game, is the director of Road House. The remake will also be produced by Joel Silver, who also produced the original movie. A-list actor Gyllenhaal has appeared in a number of movies, including Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Day After Tomorrow, Brokeback Mountain, Nightcrawler, Donnie Darko, and Donnie Darko. In the movie Road House, Gyllenhaal takes on the role of Dalton, which was originally played by Patrick Swayze. Former UFC fighter Dalton accepts a position as a bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys.

About McGregor’s part, not much is known as of this writing. Road House is McGregor’s debut feature film, as previously indicated. He was the first competitor in the history of the organization to simultaneously hold two divisional belts. He is a former lightweight and featherweight champion of the UFC. The Irishman, who has a 22-6 professional record, is the most well-known name in mixed martial arts.

McGregor is credited with eight of the top ten UFC pay-per-view events in history, according to Tapology. He last competed inside the Octagon in a trilogy match against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in July 2022. Unfortunately for McGregor, the fight was stopped before the second round ever started because he shattered his leg in the final seconds of the first round.
