Jeremy Renner thanks ‘renowned’ medical staff
Jeremy Renner is getting well. The Hawkeye actor shared a selfie from his hospital bed after being admitted to the ICU after a snow ploughing accident to give fans an update on his condition. Jeremy has injuries to the side of his face, as can be seen in the Instagram photo that was uploaded on January 3.
However, the actor included a note of gratitude with his photo despite his current condition. He wrote, “Thank you everybody for your nice words. ”I’m currently too confused to type. But I send you all my love.”
Jeremy received some love from commenters who left supportive messages for him. As DJ Steve Aoki put it, “Brother for all of us, you are a superhero. You’ll pass this test with flying colors. Love and good vibes to you!”
Isla Fisher continued: “Phew! I’m very glad you published this. I’m sending you a lot of love and positive vibes. I adore you.”
Jeremy’s update comes after he was admitted to the hospital on January 1 after getting hurt by a snow plough while in Reno, Nevada.
The Marvel actor was described as being in “critical but stable condition” the next day by Jeremy’s agent, Sam Mast, following the “weather-related accident.”
His representative has since supplied more information about Jeremy’s condition.
“We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today,” the rep told Deadline on Jan. 2. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
How did Jeremy get into danger, exactly? Trying to help others, the 51-year-old “moved snow from his driveway on Sunday so that his family members could exit from his home after spending New Year together,” a spokesman told People.
“He was also helping clear out the snow of his neighbor’s home as everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and there had been a large snowfall,” the Jan. 3 statement continued. “So he was helping everyone in trying to clear out the snow so people could get out.”
