Universal picture brings an all-rounder horror attraction to Las Vegas for 2023
Halloween and watching scary movies are popular pastimes for many horror enthusiasts all year long. Nothing beats viewing your favorite horror films with the lights dimmed after a hard day at work. Given that they have provided many of the best films in the genre, Universal is aware of this. With its incredible Universal Halloween Horror Nights attraction, the renowned horror company has celebrated its rich heritage over the past few years at both of its Universal Studios campuses in Hollywood and Orlando, Florida. The fact that this attraction only hosts seasonal Halloween events is its worst flaw. But now it’s been revealed that Universal is preparing a continuously terrifying event akin to Horror Nights in Las Vegas.
According to Bloomberg, the must-visit horror attraction will be a 20-acre addition to the already enormous Area15, which opens in 2020. In Mark Woodbury’s words, “Horror is not just for Halloween anymore at Universal,” horror is no longer reserved for Halloween. Given that Universal Horror Nights has been one of the top movie-based attractions for the past ten years, this should make every fan of horror grin ear to ear.
Over the years, they’ve had an endless sea of bloody haunted houses based on their contemporary bestsellers like The Black Phone, Freaky, and Chucky as well as their classic Monster catalog comprising Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man. There are countless options for what a year-round Horror Night might entail. In particular, Blumhouse seems to be giving Universal a new horror smash every month.
Universal’s catalog of horror films is the most extensive of any film studio. Nobody understands horror and the significance of the genre more than this renowned studio, from the classic era of the Monster movies to the more experimental adventures of Blumhouse. With the introduction of M3GAN this past week, that was once more demonstrated.
On a $12 million budget, the killer doll that has become a new audience favorite has generated $45 million globally. M3GAN, however, is merely the most recent in a string of lucrative box-office hits for Universal. You can be sure that M3GAN, along with her other killer buddies like Michael Myers, Chucky, and The Grabber, will be involved somehow even if there is no release date or notion of what this new year-long horror theme park will look like.
You can watch the trailers for the studio’s most recent horror success, M3GAN, which is currently dominating theatres, down below while we wait to learn more details about this new Universal horror attraction and what Universal Horror Nights will look like in 2023.
