Joey Lawrence discusses her brother Matthew’s relationship with TLC Chilli

TLC’s Chilli, who Joey Lawrence claims he has met, is not only “cool as hell,” but also a great match for his 42-year-old brother Matthew Lawrence. Frankie Meets Jack, Joey Lawrence’s most recent movie, is currently accessible on Tubi.

The two were photographed together in Hawaii in August 2022, and shortly before Thanksgiving, Matthew and Chilli, 51, began dating.

“Life is [full of] unexpected twists and turns — you don’t know what’s up next, but you just hope that everybody ends up happy,” Joey tells the news. “And he’s happy right now and she’s happy, and that makes us happy.”

Prior to 2003, Chilli was in a long-term relationship with Usher that she publicly ended. She formerly had a relationship with music producer Dallas Austin, with whom she has a 25-year-old son named Tron Austin.

In the midst of everything, Joey and his wife Samantha Cope are looking forward to the release of their most recent film, Frankie Meets Jack, in which they play the lead characters who negotiate their own romantic relationships and find an unexpected friendship through their shared love of dogs.

Andy Lawrence, who has been Joey and Matthew’s longtime on-screen partner, is the film’s director and also makes a humorous cameo. The script was co-written by the couple and Jen Bashian.

Previously, Cope, 35, worked alongside Joey, 35, and Andy. All three of them appeared in the films A Deadly Deed and Mistletoe Mixup, both of which were directed by Andy and starring Matthew. Joey claims that the latter film will even see a sequel this year.

Additionally, the brothers will soon be releasing more Brotherly Love, such as a podcast that will launch on February 24 and a television program called Lawrence House that Joey calls “incredibly edgy,” “very funny,” and “unlike anything anyone has ever seen us do on camera.”
