Matthew Lawrence and TLC’s Chilli step out for date night

Matthew Lawrence and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas are on a date. The Boy Meets World actor, 43, and the TLC singer, 52, went out together to celebrate the new TLC documentary TLC Forever at Lifetime and Verizon’s Black Excellence Dinner: A Celebration of Female Creative.

The happy pair is all smiles as they pose together wearing identical black costumes in a snapshot that was provided exclusively with the news.

According to Billboard, Lifetime and A&E will screen TLC Forever, a two-hour documentary on the group’s beginnings, achievements, and tragedies, including Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ death in 2002, in June.

Since November, Lawrence and Chilli have been dating. In December, they made their Instagram relationship public. One month later, Chilli’s longtime representative Christal Jordan revealed their relationship to the media, claiming that she had “never seen [Chilli] this in love.”

After nearly three years of marriage, the actor formalized his divorce from former Dancing with the Stars pro-Cheryl Burke in September.

Burke, 38, revealed details about her ex’s new relationship on Friday’s episode of Chris Harrison’s podcast Most Dramatic Podcast Ever. Burke also revealed that she is a “big fan” of TLC.

I won’t be attending a performance, but I’ll still sing along to “No Scrubs,” Do you get what I mean? She said, referring to the band’s hit from 1999.

The celebrity also endorsed Lawrence’s desire to have children and stated that she was “not startled” to learn that the two were discussing starting a family. (Chilli is the mother of Tron, a 25-year-old son with ex-Dallas Austin.)

She hoped that he would be able to conceive a child with Chilli. I believe he desired it, so I think that’s fantastic.

Chilli gets the endorsement of both Lawrence’s ex and his brother Joey Lawrence, who stated to news outlets last month that Chilli is “awesome as hell.”

“She’s fantastic, a lovely girl who is incredibly sincere, friendly, and kind. And yes, they are simply enjoying themselves, and it is fantastic to see him happy since she is also pleased because of him. Hence, all you can possibly hope for is that “said he.
