McFarlane Toys has announced they revives movie Maniacs line of Figures

This year, Warner Brothers are celebrating its 100th anniversary with a bang. Toys, new 4K Blu-ray releases, and movie screenings have all been featured in this. The WB label houses a plethora of enduring film and television franchises. Today, McFarlane Toys has revealed they’re bringing back its Movie Maniacs line of Figures for some of WB’s biggest icons to join in the nostalgic celebration.

Warner Brothers Has 100 Years.

The first wave of six-inch figures features Ted Lasso from his hit Apple TV+ series of the same name, Bugs Bunny as Superman from Looney Tunes, Harry Potter from Goblet of Fire, and the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. While the lack of accessories and limited posing options adds to the retro vibe of the line, each figure does come with a collectible trading card, a character-specific base, and a background.

The figures will also be packaged specifically for the WB 100 slot. The Cinema Maniacs ruled the 1990s and 2000s, thus this sentence is entirely about the past. Although not limited to WB properties, the collection influenced how we currently view McFarlane Toys.

Although McFarlane has worked on a variety of brands over the years, the firm is best known for its fantastic DC Multiverse line, which is also helping WB celebrate in 2023 with its upcoming Dark Knight line. This line has been revived as a wonderful reminder of that. Innumerable decades of Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, and Wizard of Oz have served as strong pillars for WB; hopefully, this is just the beginning of Movie Maniacs’ comeback.

It would be amazing to see further figures based on characters from films like Casablanca, The Shining, It, Scooby-Doo, and TV shows like Smallville or You. In the past, the Movie Maniac line was not only available from WB, so hopefully, other studios will also join the brand in the future. For instance, Cinema Maniacs, which featured characters like Michael Myers from Halloween, Ghostface from Scream, and Chucky from Child’s Play, was very popular when it first came out. This was back when adult collector premium figures weren’t as common as they are now. Because of this, it’s wonderful to see McFarlane embracing their own history while also commemorating WB.
