US: 4 People, Including Child Killed In shooting On Outskirts Of Los Angeles

In the United States, four people, including a child, were killed in a shooting at an office building on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

The suspected assailant was injured in an exchange of fire with the police and was later arrested.

This is the third shooting death in the United States in less than a month, according to the international media reports.

The administration has not commented on the motive for the incident, 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

Orange Police Department Lt. Jennifer Amat told reporters that police officers arrived at the scene at 5:30 p.m., local time, where they exchanged fire with the suspected assailant.

Four people, including a child, were killed and two others, including the attacker, were injured and taken to hospital, he said.

A message on the police department’s Facebook page said the situation at the scene had stabilized and there was no further threat to the public.

The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a two-story office building, surrounded by other commercial properties, houses and apartments.

Authorities initially did not provide further details.

Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, responded to the shooting by calling it “Horrifying and heartbreaking.”

On March 16, eight people, mostly women of Asian descent, were killed in a shooting at three massage parlours in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

Later, on March 22, a gunman opened fire at a supermarket in the Boulder area of ​​western Colorado, killing 10 people, including the first police officer to arrive at the scene.

One attacker was involved in both incidents and was arrested.
