Israeli air aggression kills 2 and left 7 wounded

Israeli air assaults on Syria’s central area killed two civilians and injured seven on Wednesday. Syrian air defences attempted to stop the airstrikes from reaching Homs (a city in western Syria).

According to official reports, two people were killed and another was seriously injured in the strike, which also injured six Syrian military soldiers.

The latest operation occurred amid an uptick in Israel’s reported attacks on Syria in recent weeks.

Israel has acknowledged targeting the bases of Iran-backed forces, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which has fighters in Syria. It claims to target arms shipments destined for the armed organisation.

Israel declares the Iranian presence on its northern border a “red line,” justifying airstrikes against Syrian facilities and weaponry.

According to an anonymous military official, the jets fired missiles at around 1:26 a.m. (23:26 GMT) while flying above Lebanon’s airspace.

Two Syrian soldiers were injured earlier this month as Israel executed an air raid near the eastern countryside of Homs and the coastal city of Tartous.
