CAIRO, March 22 (Xinhua) — Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed trilateral relations and recent developments on regional issues in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, the Egyptian presidency said Tuesday in a statement.

During the meeting, the three leaders discussed “recent developments in energy, markets stability, and food security” aside from exchanging views on other regional and international issues.

Meanwhile, the Israeli PM’s office said they also talked about the ways to enhance trilateral ties “on all levels” under current circumstances.

According to his office’s statement later on Tuesday, Bennett has already been on route back home, concluding his second visit to Egypt since he was sworn in as Israel’s prime minister in June 2021.

This is the first-ever trilateral meeting among the leaders of Egypt, Israel and the UAE, as the Crown Prince also serves as deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces.
