As rescuers continue to search through the wreckage of a passenger jet that crashed to the ground in southern China on Monday, several terrifying theories about what caused the deadly collision are emerging.

The exact cause of the crash, which is thought to have killed all 132 people on board, is still unknown.

China Eastern Flight MU5735 is seen hurtling towards the ground in a vertical nosedive in this terrifying video.

The Boeing 737-800 crashed in Guangxi province’s mountainous area, not far from the city of Wuzhou.

It was flying from Kunming to Guangzhou when it plummeted 29,000 feet in just a few minutes.

Sally Gethin, an aviation expert, told The Sun Online yesterday that the three pilots on board may have passed out as the plane plunged to the ground in a 350mph death dive.

So far, no trace of the black box has been found, which could provide crucial information about the cause of the crash.

Hundreds of workers have been dispatched to the crash site as part of a large-scale emergency response.

Parts of the wreckage have been discovered, as well as the charred belongings of passengers, such as bags, wallets, and ID cards.

However, no one on board has been officially named.

President Xi Jinping of China has ordered a full investigation, and China Eastern has grounded all of its Boeing 737-800s, despite their excellent safety record.
