On Tuesday night, Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly placed Daily Wire creator Ben Shapiro—who is decidedly not Black—among a list of Black conservatives, even going so far as to call Shapiro “one of the movement’s heroes.”

Kelly, who recently stated that there hasn’t been a “substantial” white nationalist protest in a century, took issue once again with mainstream media people and politicians recognizing the enduring impact of systematic racism in America. The fact that anti-racism campaigners have jobs and families, according to the cartoonishly MAGA Newsmax star, demonstrates that racism does not exist.

“So we looked it up—all those people who just went on about systemic white racism and white supremacy, they all graduated from high school,” he declared. “They all got married and they didn’t have children out of wedlock. If only they came on television and talked about those things, they’d actually be helping people.”

The Greg Kelly Reports presenter then took aim at MSNBC anchor Yasmin Vossoughian for claiming that institutional racism “pervades every social system in the United States.”

“Now who the hell is that? And what is she talking about?” Kelly sneered. “Every system we have here it permeates, right? Systemic racism, every system. If I lived in a country where every system was systemically racist, I’d move! I really would. I didn’t join the military to defend a systemically racist country. How about that? Who is she?”

For some reason, the former Fox News presenter pondered aloud what she and “any of those other folks” would do if they encountered a Black conservative.

While he was speaking, the program aired a graphic with the caption “Left Considers Black Conservatives To Be Traitors,” featuring Shapiro with three other conservative Black males (including Herman Cain, who in 2020 died from COVID-19.)

“They’re out there, but they’re shunned because of what they have to say,” Kelly shouted as he explained why he included a very white commentator on the list.

“And the late Herman Cain and, of course, Ben Shapiro, not Black but one of the heroes of the movement,” he added with a straight face. “This really disrupts the narrative and that’s why they are marginalized. They shouldn’t be. They should be celebrated and listened to, right?”
