TEHRAN, April 6 (Xinhua) — Iran has given necessary documents to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over questions about its past nuclear activities, the country’s nuclear chief said Wednesday.

“We sent the documents on March 20 and they reviewed them. Probably the representatives of the agency will come to Iran to review the answers and materials and to prepare a conclusion,” Mohammad Eslami, president of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), told reporters, official news agency IRNA reported.

Hopefully, with the agreement reached with the UN nuclear watchdog, the issues of Iran’s four places in question would be settled by the end of June, Eslami noted.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi visited Tehran last month, during which the IAEA and the AEOI agreed to resolve the remaining outstanding issues, mainly related to some alleged traces of uranium particles at some Iranian sites, which could be instrumental in removing part of the obstacles to Vienna talks aimed at reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
