Kent horror: Passengers’rescued from stalled train’ after a person collided with the rails

A PERSON has been “struck by a train,” leaving passengers on a service traveling through Kent “stuck.”

The event occurred between Ashford, Kent, and Paddock Wood, near Royal Tunbridge Wells, on Monday evening. Between the two places, a passenger was “struck” bypassing carriages, Southeastern Railway said.

They claimed that people were being “rescued” from the “stranded” train.

The link between Ashford and Paddock Wood has been halted indefinitely.

They cautioned commuters to expect continuing inconvenience, adding that some substitute buses will be available.

They posted on Twitter: “Passengers are now being removed from the stalled train due to a person being struck by a train between #Ashford and Paddock Wood.”

“Ashford-Paddock Wood suspended.

“Replacement buses operating between Tonbridge and Ashford.

“Disruption is expected until end of service.”
