
Dmitry Nekazakov, a civilian was walking with his dog, when suddenly the Russian shelling started in the outskirts of the capital of Kyiv, Hostomel.
The sky entertained several choppers from which the Russian troops jumped.
The rockets and missiles rained down over the city.
It was 6 in the morning, when the unfortunate and tormenting series began. 24 February marks the day when the city encountered the bombardment.
The attacks did not stop for a month, and Nekazakov spent 20 days sitting in the basement during night.
In the morning, Nekazakov, along with other residents would devise plans for their safety.
They would witness the damage, the attacks caused, the next day.
“For a long time, the shells were coming — the rockets were coming,” he said.
The Russian missiles and rockets that annihilated buildings, people, and houses, were launched from a huge Russian base camouflaged in the woods at a distance of 4 kilometers from the actual target.
The remains of that base camp can be witnessed.
Ukrainian special forces have shown the camp that played an important part in the destruction of the cities.
