A man from Lancashire has been charged with the murder of Katie Kenyon, who was last seen entering a van with a man five days ago.

The 33-year-old was observed getting into a Ford Transit in Burnley, Lancashire, on Friday, with police suspecting she was heading to Bolton through Bowland.

Andrew Burfield, 50, of Todmorden Road, Burnley, has since been charged with murder, according to Lancashire Police.

He is scheduled to appear in Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

While the mother-of-two from Padiham has yet to be located, authorities have stated that they are now operating on the assumption that she is no longer living.

Ms. Kenyon’s family had been informed of the development and were being assisted by authorities, according to the police.

The family expressed their gratitude for all of the well-wishes but asked that people respect their privacy during this time, according to the force.

As part of the inquiry, police, mountain rescue teams, and fire personnel has been combing portions of Gisburn Forest in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley.
