A girl in Uttar Pradesh commits suicide after being repeatedly raped

Rampur, Uttar Pradesh: Police have detained a 17-year-old kid regarding the supposed assault and self-killing of a minor in Saifni police headquarters region in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur, an authority said today.

As indicated by the police grievance stopped by the casualty’s sibling, the kid is a neighbor and he had visited their home a couple of days prior, during which he supposedly assaulted the 15-year-old young lady.

On finding out about the episode, the young lady’s family members requested that the kid wed their girl, however, his folks dismissed the proposition saying that he was a minor, Additional Superintendent of Police Sansar Singh said.

The girl’s family members asserted that she passed on by self-destruction in light of the fact that the kid wouldn’t wed her.

In light of the objection of her sibling, a case was enlisted and the kid was captured, police said.

In the interim, the casualty’s sibling, who functions as a worker, told PTI, “upon the arrival of the episode, the individuals from the blamed’s family had moved toward us and compelled us against getting a police objection enlisted. During the gathering, other local area individuals were likewise present. We requested that the two of them would get hitched after they accomplish adulthood.”

“They (the denounced side) were not prepared for the settlement. In the meantime, my sister kicked the bucket by suicide and her body was found dangling from an iron bar of the tin concealment inside the room,” he said, requesting equity for his sister.

Rampur Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Shukla visited the place of the casualty on Saturday evening and met her relatives.

“The complainant, who is the sibling of the person in question, had informed me that he was being undermined by the relatives of the accused. I have educated the Circle Officer and other police authorities to make a move against the other accused, who have compromised the complainant,” the SP said.

He added that the local judge will be educated about the matter and endeavors will be made to give remuneration to the casualty’s loved ones.
