Sho Taguchi squandered away the majority of the $360,000 in Covid-19 aid; that his small municipality had inadvertently sent to his personal bank account, according to investigators.
The 24-year-old has now been arrested, according to police; after admitting to spending the majority of the money intended for pandemic relief for low-income homes.
According to Yamaguchi prefectural police, Taguchi, an unemployed resident of Abu in western Japan; he is being arrested on suspicion of computer fraud.
