According to a video release, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko orders the formation of a new military command for the country’s south, which borders Ukraine.

The country looks to be planning to station special operations forces in three locations near its southern border with Ukraine.

Mr. Lukashenko has also emphasized the need of Russian-made missiles in strengthening his country’s defenses.

It became transparent from Ukraine that Russia had been detected transporting Iskander missile systems to Belarus’ western Brest region, boosting the risk of fresh missile strikes on western Ukraine.
