Burning Ukrainian history books is not denazification, according to the UK ambassador

The burning of Ukrainian historical books by Russian invaders is not denazification, according to Melinda Simmons, the UK Ambassador to Ukraine.

According to sources, UK Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons made the relevant statement on Twitter.

“It is not denazification to burn Ukrainian historical books. “On the contrary,” Simmons wrote.

She sent a snapshot of burned books, specific ones about Ukraine’s past.

A reminder that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously declared that Putin’s assertion that his invasion of Ukraine was a “de-Nazification” operation is a hideous deception.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian invaders are taking Ukrainian history and fiction books that do not conform to Kremlin propaganda narratives in the temporarily seized parts of Ukraine.
