
Finnish PM, Sanna Marin, met Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv after touring Bucha and Irpin.
According to Ukraine’s prime minister, Finland’s leader vowed to assist in the reconstruction of towns and infrastructure.
In response to Russian aggression in eastern Europe, Finland formally submitted its application to join NATO.
Mr Zelenskyy said after the conference that high-ranking officials’ visits are “extremely crucial direct indications of support.”
“It was really tough to look at everything that Russia has done to these cities,” Ms. Marin said of her visits to Irpin and Bucha.
“Many people died. At the same time, the heroic spirit of the Ukrainian people, who are fighting for their freedom and for the whole of Europe, is admirable.”
