In India, a man murders his wife with a wooden stick becase she did not cook him rice

According to Hindustan Times, a guy from Bhiwandi, India, was arrested for murdering his wife because she refused to make rice for him.

Wife killed for not cooking rice

Shankar Waghmare, the accused, is a scrap merchant. With a wooden stick, he allegedly thrashed his 20-year-old wife.

Waghmare and Jyotsna have been married for a year. Neighbors said the pair fought frequently over minor reasons.

Police Inspector Atul Lambe, the case’s investigation officer, stated,

“On Tuesday, the accused went home and started arguing with his wife over rice,” said police inspector Atul Lambe, an investigating officer in the case.
He said, “In the heat of the moment, he began striking her with a wooden stick till she died.”

He stated that the woman was discovered in a pool of her own blood by her neighbours.

The dead had suffered significant damage to the brain, stomach, and backbone, according to postmortem findings.
