Pro-Russian media broadcasts film of events in occupied Ukraine marking their Victory Day

Pro-Russian media broadcasts film of events in occupied Ukraine marking their Victory Day

Pro-Russian media published social media recordings of Victory Day parades and festivities in many Russian-occupied Ukrainian cities.

Several hundred people appear to have attended a procession in Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia.

The city has been under Russian control since the beginning of March.

Another gathering in the Kherson region, appears to have been sparsely attended.

The official media outlet in Kherson city stated, “Citizens came in families, carrying portraits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers who fought during the Great Patriotic War and who liberated Kherson region from fascists.”

A rally was held in Berdiansk, as well as gatherings in several other cities.

According to videos released by the separatist Donetsk channel PRO Republic, none appear to have attracted more than a few dozen individuals.

A few individuals were observed sitting in a square watching Russian President Putin’s speech on enormous screens at one event.
