The First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden to visit Eastern Europe

Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, is scheduled to visit Romania and Slovakia later this week to meet with Ukrainian refugees.

She is scheduled to spend Sunday, Mother’s Day in the United States, with moms and children displaced by the turmoil in Slovakia.

Her visit is the latest display of support for Ukraine from high-level American lawmakers, after Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, paid an unexpected visit to Kyiv on Sunday.

Biden will visit Eastern Europe from May 5 to 9, where she will speak with US service members and diplomats, as well as humanitarian workers and instructors.
