There is no evidence that Putin would begin an operation against Kyiv just yet, says Ukraine’s Defense Ministry  

Currently, the Ministry of Defense has received no information on an upcoming offensive against Kyiv from either the General Staff of the Armed Forces or intelligence services, despite the fact that such information could be advantageous to the enemy.

According to source, this was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Anna Maliar, who spoke during the national telethon on Saturday.

“I talked to the Commander-in-Chief about it, as well as Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the GUR (military intelligence). We currently have no information that indicates a likely offensive as early as today. However, we must recognize that the threat to Kyiv and the entire Ukrainian land exists since we are in the midst of a conflict “Maliar remarked.

At the same time, the official pointed out that escalating the situation in the media and causing “panic waves” can be helpful to the enemy, “so they can be releasing such material in test mode.”

“We were looking for the roots yesterday, where it could initially appear on social networks.” And it should be emphasized that several of our concerned individuals, as well as Russian sources, contributed to this,” the Deputy Minister stated.

According to the official, capturing the capital is the simplest and quickest way for the adversary to gain control of the entire country. As a result, it’s important to remember that the country is at war, and such hazards are constantly present, according to Maliar.
