A Metropolitan cop has been accused of assaulting a lady on Brighton ocean side, while one more is being sent for preliminary, blamed for 21 counts of assault north of 17 years.
Sergeant Laurence Knight was captured on 28 July last year after a lady detailed being assaulted on the oceanfront 11 days sooner.
He was delivered on bail while inquiries proceeded and have now been charged by Sussex Police. He will show up at Brighton and Hove Magistrates’ Court on 23 June.
The official, who joined Met Detention (which manages police care units), has been suspended from obligation.
In the meantime PC David Carrick, a furnished official who presented with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command and chipped away at the parliamentary home, showed up at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday by video connect from Belmarsh jail.
He argued not liable to 15 charges, including eight counts of assault, two counts of attack by infiltration, four counts of rape and endeavored assault against five ladies.
The charges incorporate claims Carrick, who has been suspended by the Met, assaulted one lady in the forest and physically attacked her by peeing on her and hitting her with a belt.
He has recently denied 29 different charges and presently faces a sum of 44 counts between March 2004 and September 2020.
They are: 21 counts of assault; nine counts of rape; five counts of attack by entrance; three counts of coercive and controlling way of behaving; two counts of misleading detainment; two counts of endeavored assault; one count of endeavored rape by infiltration; and one count of making an individual participate in sexual movement without assent.
The prosecution claims that a few ladies were over and over assaulted, physically attacked and compelled to perform corrupting sex acts via Carrick, while one lady is said to have been erroneously detained in a pantry under the steps.
The preliminary starts next February at Southwark Crown Court.
