After Saudi Arabia updated its IP enforcement procedures, the Office of the United States Trade Representative removed the Kingdom from its Priority Watch List in its annual Special 301 Report.

These efforts have been directed by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, which has established dedicated IP enforcement tribunals, raised IP awareness, and provided training to IP specialists in 76 different authorities in order to improve government compliance with the laws.

The authority has also formed a permanent National Committee for Intellectual Property Enforcement to coordinate IP enforcement, release reports and case studies, and formulate IP legislation and regulations.
