Zelensky instructed Shmyhal to introduce visas for Russians

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has endorsed the necessity to enhance the system of control over Russian people’ admission into Ukraine and has directed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to consider introducing visas for Russians.

According to sources, the president stated this in his response to electronic petition No. 22/134744-ep, which received the required number of signatures for consideration.

“The issue presented is essential and urgent in the context of full-scale Russian aggression, thus I support the necessity to enhance the regime of control over the entry of Russian individuals into Ukraine. Taking into account what was said, a letter was written to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, requesting that the situation be resolved “According to Zelensky.

On February 11, the petition was filed. Mykyta Viktorovych Mazura is the author. The memo mentioned the necessity to “implement a visa regime for Russian citizens attempting to enter Ukrainian territory.”
