The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has developed an auction application that allows interested parties from inside and outside the country to explore and bid on things seized in court proceedings, such as real estate, vehicles, unique car licence plates, and various types of moveable property.
The software also allows you to bid from afar and complete all procedures in simple steps, all while adhering to established legal regulations.
The launch of an application for the Department’s auctions on seizures made as part of cases submitted to the courts, according to Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the ADJD, falls within the scope of the digital transformation plan, in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to develop the service.
Mr. Al Abri explained that “the organisation of these auctions by specialised cadres of the Judicial Department to sell all types of seized items in enforcement of court decisions issued in their regard aims to ensure the highest levels of transparency, clarity, and impartiality, as well as sufficient guarantees to preserve the full rights of the parties involved, in accordance with the established legal controls.”
In detail, the new auction app, which has been registered with the Ministry of Economy as a Judicial Department intellectual property right, provides a number of benefits, including quick access to services using digital identity and innovative bidding options such as express bidding and automatic electronic bidding.
Subscription, access to the app, and depositing funds are all quick and easy for Emiratis and inhabitants of the country, and for those interested from outside the country, it’s as simple as making an account with a phone number and a password. The pre-auction security deposit can be paid with a credit card, a bank transfer, or a check using the app.
