- Drowning, snake bites, and lightning are the leading causes of death in flood-affected areas.
- Tens of thousands of people were forced to leave their homes because of flooding.
- Between June 17 and June 21, 36 people perished in 27 out of 64 districts.
In Bangladesh, 36 people have died in less than a week because of the flooding caused by heavy rains and runoff from hillsides.
