Dubai expat deported and jailed for stabbing girlfriend in sleep

According to the Khaleej Times, a 33-year-old ex-pat in Dubai has been imprisoned for stabbing his partner many times.

The Asian man was deported and sentenced to three years in prison by the Dubai Criminal Court.

While his lover was sleeping, he attacked her. A neighbour in the shared house reported the incident. He testified that he entered the room after hearing the woman’s cries.

He discovered her bleeding from stab wounds all over her body, as well as a knife on the floor.

He dialled an ambulance right away. When the victim stated that the attacker had left, the police were called. On her phone, the victim showed the police the attacker’s photo.

She claimed to have met the perpetrator eight months prior and that he had pledged to marry her.

She told the authorities that the man had asked her to provide him Dh8,000 for his residency permit on the day of the event. When she gave him Dh5,000 instead of the rest and told him to wait, the two got into a dispute.

She was surprised the next night when she awoke to a terrible attack.

The suspect confessed to the crime after being apprehended by the investigating team.
