- Several explosions rocked Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, early Sunday, a day after officials said that Ukrainian troops had regained a stretch of the eastern battlefield in a counteroffensive against Russia.
- “Several explosions in the capital’s Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts,” Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko posted on Telegram. “On-site services are already operational.”

According to Klitschko, at least one person was hospitalised, but no deaths had been confirmed. Other officials suspected that the Russian shelling was aimed at the railway network.
“We will draw the proper conclusions and deploy our arms… to strike sites we haven’t hit before;” Putin said if Kyiv is given long-range missiles, according to Russian news media.
