Palestinian sources reported on Saturday that a Palestinian kid who was shot by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank succumbed to his wounds hours later.
Mohammad Hamad, 16, was shot and wounded near the town of Silwad, close to Ramallah in the northern West Bank, on Friday evening; he died several hours later, according to a councilman from Silwad, as reported by AFP.

The teen was shot by Israeli soldiers near a road going to the nearby village of Ofra, according to the councilman.
A spokesperson for the Israeli army stated that hundreds of Palestinians had amassed near Silwad and that “a number of suspects hurled rocks” at passing vehicles, “endangering civillians”.
“Soldiers at the scene operated to stop the suspects in accordance with standard operating procedures, using live fire as a last resort,” she told AFP.
She stated without providing information that a Palestinian was struck.
The fatality coincides with an increase in Israeli-Palestinian violence.
Since late March, Palestinians and Israeli Arabs have killed 19 persons, predominantly Israeli civilians.
Three Israeli Arab assailants and at least 46 Palestinians have been murdered as a result of operations conducted by Israeli security forces within Israel and the West Bank.

In addition to suspected militants and civilians, and international news journalist reporting a Jenin raid was among those murdered.
