
The Russian Pacific Fleet’s flagship “Varyag” docks at Pier 15 in Manila, the Philippines – Google
- A detachment of Russia’s Pacific Fleet has entered the Philippine Sea and is engaging in anti-aircraft training and a search for mock enemy submarines.
- Part of the training is also getting to know the crews of naval aircraft from the Pacific Fleet, Russian media report.
VLADIVOSTOK, Russia: As per the fleet’s press service on Friday, a detachment of Russian Pacific Fleet has entered the Philippine Sea and is engaging in anti-aircraft training as well as a search for mock enemy submarines.

Included in this planned combat training of the Pacific Fleet are the command ship Marshal Krylov, the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, the corvettes, and the big anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleev.
